Return to Blogland

Well folks, it's been a long time. A very long time. We got home and after getting settled I started thinking, I really need to blog, but where should I begin? Should I write about our trip or about Isaiah and his transition? To put our trip into words seemed so overwhelming...not to mention that so many families had already blogged about it, would anyone even read it? On the flip side, I wanted to document it for Isaiah and seriously, when we were in the waiting phase, I would read any adoption blog I could find, especially if it might shed light on even one little tiny detail that someone else might have left out. I started to blog several times about Isaiah, but he was doing so well and our transition was so easy, it seemed almost cruel to describe it when many of our friends were going through rough transitions. So here I am, a month and a half later, still not sure what to write. To my surprise, many people started asking me when we were going to start blogging again, people I had no idea were reading our blog. So if anyone out there is still reading this, we're making a comeback. I figure today I just had to write SOMETHING, you know, to get the juices flowing again, and now that the hiatus has been explained, I can start fresh tomorrow. Of course I can't resist sharing just a few firsts since we've been home...

First bath

First day of church

First snow

First tv show

First professional photo shoot (with daddy of course)

Are we blessed or what? =)

  5. LOVE THE PICS!!! I would read it. I would include anything you want for him & you to remember. I would write about your easy transition. I say- everyone needs to hear hard stories & hard stories. It is reality there are hard transitions, easy transitions, and everything in between. Our transition with Jonathan was a piece of cake! While other transitions with some of our other children- not so much. It is ok- you don't have to feel guilty :)

  8. Heather!! So glad you're blogging! I have wondered about little Zecharias, and how he's doing--and more importantly, how you're doing. So glad it's going well. Don't worry about having an easy transition--we're so glad you have, and that your first experience as parents is going well. Hope to chat with you soon.
