It's beautiful to watch what happens when a group of people meditate on their own adoption into God's family through Christ. Praying that God will continue to change hearts and that adoption will become a common response to the grace and mercy that He has shown to us.
Our sermon last week was entitled Adoption: Identity and Inheritance (preached by Trevor Atwood) and can be found here: http://www.summitrdu.com/sermons. Listen to it, and be reminded of who God is and what He has done. If that doesn't compel you to take action, I don't know what will.
This is super exciting stuff!
ReplyDeleteAnd no, I'm not sure we've ever talked about the fact that Matt works at SEBTS... I'm pretty sure I've talked with Rebekah about it... He did his undergrad there and now he's at UNCG for his Ph.D. But he's been teaching at SEBTS since 2007, I believe. He teaches 2 literature courses back-to-back on Fridays (3 hour classes) so he only has to drive there once a week. We should all go get ET food at Abyssinia or Queen of Sheba sometime!
WOW- gave my HUGE goosebumps!!!!
ReplyDeleteThis is awesome!!!!
