Drum roll please...

Our 1st official waitlist number is...



Our case manager called us tonight with the good news! We know that we are beyond blessed to start out with such a low number. She said to expect a 3-4 month wait for a referral, which should put us right in the middle of the courts closing for the Ethiopian New Year. She warned us not to expect to travel before Christmas, so we will try to prepare for that, while hoping for the best. Thank you for walking with us through this journey!!!

Guess who's on the waitlist?!?

Yep that's right! We are officially on the waitlist!!!! Here is the email we received from our case manager today:

"I wanted to send you a quick line to let you know that I reviewed your dossier, and it looked great! I have added you to the waitlist, but because it is the end of the day, will give you a call on Monday to talk through this new phase of the process and give you your official Waitlist number. I am so excited for you!! Talk with you soon!"

Yay!!! Let the new phase of waiting begin!

Exciting News!

Today is an exciting day in our adoption journey. With our homestudy finally complete, we were able to mail off our dossier (all of our paperwork and documents). Can you believe it?



We are so excited!!! It should arrive by tomorrow and our case manager will review it on Friday to make sure that everything is done correctly. This sweet lady at FedEx was a good sport and agreed to all of my crazy requests, including documenting the occasion.



This means that IF everything is in order we could get our names on the waitlist as early as Friday. We'll keep you posted...
