Our case manager called us tonight with the good news! We know that we are beyond blessed to start out with such a low number. She said to expect a 3-4 month wait for a referral, which should put us right in the middle of the courts closing for the Ethiopian New Year. She warned us not to expect to travel before Christmas, so we will try to prepare for that, while hoping for the best. Thank you for walking with us through this journey!!!

Yeah, congratulations guys!! I am grateful for your blog. When I saw that AGCI had called you and A&W, I had a better feel for what was going on. When we still didn't have a call on Tuesday I knew something was wrong. I would have been in the dark otherwise. So thank you for blogging! So glad to be in good company on the waitlist!

ReplyDeleteWe got our letter stating that they received our I600A and then within the week got two cards in the mail with our fingerprint appointments. We did not need to send anything else in to get our appointments. It took us almost exactly 3 months from the time that we sent in our I600A to when we got our Favorable Determination letter. If your appointment is in Durham, it was SUPER EASY and fast. We were in and out in 10 minutes.
I'm right there thinking that we have moved up another two...However, at the left column it says only one boy referral went out???HMMM?
ReplyDeleteI did break down and call Christy. She said they are starting calls this week, and with the holiday will finish up early next week. So, now I'm married to my phone once again...waiting. I'll let you know as soon as I get the call...unless you get one first. (I'm not sure if they start at the top or bottom numbers.)
So far...I think my predictions add up, as far as the order of people on the waitlist. Don't you just wish they would give us a list?
No new numbers yet for us!! I'm trying not to think about it, but if we don't get our number today...then we wait until next week!

Isn't this exciting?! It seems that unoffically we have all moved up 2 spots, since there were two boys referred recently, and the total boy families is now 13, and we know than dan and tara started at #15! Yippee!

9! that is an amazing first number. Ours was 21 and we received our referral in 2 months. Crazy! About the ergo. I LOVED it. I also used it for my other 2 kids. If your baby is younger than 5-6 months it isn't as good. You should get a moby wrap or sling instead. But 5-6+ works great! Highly Recommend.
